CAPSTICK

GOOD ART NEEDS TO INSPIRE.
GREAT ART SHOULD LEAVE YOU QUESTIONING

In this relentless pursuit of experimentation, I invite you to wander through the corridors of my creations. Here, the boundaries blur, and art becomes a living entity—a testament to the fluidity of expression and the uncharted depths of the human experience.

ABOUT CAPSTICK

In the vast landscape of artistic endeavours, Capstick emerges as a neurodiverse experimental artist, weaving through the realms of painting, photography, sculpture, writing, and curation. With a career spanning decade, joy is found in the ongoing journey of experimentation, utilizing life as a canvas for exploration and revelation.

A Playground of Ideas:

Capstick's mind functions as a boundless playground, seeking the occupation of challenging concepts and ideas. ADHD, a constant companion in this artistic odyssey, provides the gift of relentless exploration. Each creation transcends mere artwork; it is a manifestation of the perpetual dance between chaos and order.

Rooted in Neopaganism:

Deeply entrenched in the fertile soil of neopaganism, Capstick's work becomes a ritualistic communion with the ancient and contemporary. Delving into the rich tapestry of multi-racial heritage, alternative concepts and perspectives are woven into the very fabric of creations.

Social and Political Dialogues:

With a subtle blend of humour and passionate conviction, Capstick fearlessly enters the realms of social and political discourse. Art becomes a reflective mirror of the complexities of the world, with brushstrokes carrying the weight of questions. Each piece becomes a dialogue, inviting contemplation and provoking thought.

Alternative Narratives:

Capstick adeptly plays with alternative narratives, employing the alter egos Ada Moss and Rio Charkrabarti to infuse context and ideas into the work. These characters become pivotal players in the grand theatre of artistic imagination, offering diverse perspectives and layering meaning into the stories being told.

FORGOTTEN JOURNEYS

In the heart of the forest, a forsaken car stands as a relic of forgotten journeys. Stripped of its engine, its skeletal remains lie scattered amidst the decaying debris, a haunting echo of bygone adventures. An abandoned chair and empty bottles, seemingly misplaced in this natural sanctuary, create a questioning image. The car, once a symbol of movement and freedom, now rests among the silent whispers of the trees. Each discarded item tells a tale of abandonment, offering a poignant contrast to the vibrant life that envelops this forgotten corner of the woods. This sorrowful scene invites examination on the passage of time and the transient nature of discarded human artefacts, in the embrace of nature's beauty.
