Scandal
Scandal is a vessel of whispered truths and shouted defiance. Adorned with doll’s hair and an oxidized glaze that recalls the corroded surface of an old speaker, this pot embodies the transmission of gossip, myth, and suppressed histories. The tangled hair suggests the entrapment of voices…stories spun, distorted, and controlled…while the speaker-like form hints at both amplification and censorship. Scandal interrogates the power structures that dictate who get to speak and who is silenced, transforming the pot into an artifact of resistance, where the echoes of past and present voices refuse to be contained.
